What makes you think that a roundabout is might be built at Woodstock/Smythe next year?

More pouring going on this morning. Looks like they're laying the rest of the pad down now.

Looks like it won't be closed this time.

Work has begun at the corner of Woodside and Hanwell. I believe it was mentioned that an Ultramar Gas and Convience store is to go there.

I believe it is in the city 5 year plan, but I can't find it at the moment. It's in the works either for next Summer or the Summer of '18, since they didn't want it conflicting with the Bridge work and Roundabout work a few years back, and the Overpass work uptown this year.

Also I heard that Avalon spa is opening on the Northside in the old Canadian Tire building. That will be a much better location that is for sure

Appears to be some reno activity taking place at the former Liquidation World location. Anyone know what this is about?

The Habitat For Humanity Re-Store took over part of that building; maybe they are expanding?

They took over the former Sears outlet. I don't think this is an expansion as they are painting the exterior facade a different color. If they were going to expand I would think they would have it match their existing colors

In today's news there is a city official who says that the new pad will be open by mid-August. Would be nice if it were open for the NB Day long weekend

Yeah, that seems unlikely. I went by again and they still have a lot of the interior pad to put down, then put the fixtures all in and such. They did put up more concrete block benches and such, though.

Nice to see progress still being made.
