There is LOTS of affordable housing in Chicago.
Presumably the affordable units are rental units and not condo units, though. The latter would make no sense.
And I also think that this looks like two different buildings. I like the cantilevered concept, and don't think the base should be curved, but if the top is then there needs to be a better transition. Perhaps leaving the east and north facades boxy and having the south (in a gradual transition) and west facades curve.
