Wow. Quite excited about Whole Foods, it will change the nature of Lonsdale. Whole Foods tend to serve as excellent community hubs.

I live slightly west of Lonsdale. Within 20 minutes I can walk to Loblaws, IGA, Save on, Thrifties and eventually Whole Foods. It is a nexus of food options.

The North Shore Outlook newspaper will cease to exist on the 27th. They were always far superior to NS News when it came to development info. NS News is consistently anti-development and now the only paper left.

A Loblaws City Market will be moving into the current London Drugs space on the north side of the mall, and will be using the former Bread Garden location as a street (parking lot) entrance. London Drugs will move immediately east and cap the west end of the north mall, replacing stores like Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, GNC, Rogers Wireless, etc.

That is a lot of grocery stores in one mall--City Market, Osaka, Whole Foods, and Extra Foods. Not to mention the various fruit stands, deli bakeries, and fishmongers.

You should read more carefully. Extra Foods is closing this spring.

Prescott podium is pretty much done

Here's the inside of Faubourg Cafe. Looks like a massive success, every seat was taken and there was a huge line (photo makes it look deceptively empty). Food was very fresh. It was oppressively humid in there though, my glasses fogged up in seconds, which I've never had happen anywhere before. You can see it on the display glass.

I think Prescott turned out great. The shiny offset metal panels behind the BlueShore Financial logo are a brilliant touch.

This was the building I thought was new and came out of nowhere, but is actually a major reclad. On St Georges across from Lions Gate Hospital

A very flattering before shot from Google Street View

Bonus bald eagle shots from the West Van seawall today. Second time in a row they've been chilling out on the condos there

I have to say this is an unbelievable transformation. I think it's going to turn out very very well. It was absolutely hideous before with the awful green mullions.

Nice recladding.
The windows on the corners are so much bigger.
There's a also a vent missing from each unit -
so maybe they removed the ubiquitous 90s corner fireplaces from all the units?

^ That is remarkable! Truly, I would never have guessed looking at the first photo that it was a re-clad.

Remind that there is a special Public Hearing tomorrow evening at CNV City Hall for Concert's Harbourside Development.

Wandered through Park Royal South over the weekend and saw a model.
