Browns restaurant is going in at the corner of 2nd & Lonsdale, but I think I mentioned that a while back. Windsor Meats (from Edgemont Village) will be taking an inline CRU on Lonsdale just down from 2nd. We also have a tenant for the heritage building, and a restaurant taking combining two CRUs next to each other directly up from the heritage building. I don't know that we have permission to make those tenants public yet so I will refrain for now. Also, we have 2 other smaller tenants for in-line CRUs other either side of Windsor Meats signed up but the details are still being worked through. All told the retail is about 70-74% leased/sold.

I noticed this morning as I was walking down Lonsdale to the Seabus that there's a new sandwich shop that popped up on Lonsdale directly across from Wallace and McDowell. It's called "Meat at O'Neils". The website is making me hungry, so I may stop by there one day to try it out.

Cool, that's news to me. Some people may roll their eyes at Browns (rip spm2013) but I'll take it and will go there often. Wasn't that long ago I was thinking Boston Pizza and East Side Marios were good because at least it was something.

In the lower 2 pictures, the heritage archicture surrounded by modern new buildings, the hill to the waterfront, and downtown across the water on a city plateau, gave me a flash of Seattle.
It's kind of nice when a place can "flash" or give you a vague reminder of somewhere else. It makes the entire city scene all that much richer.

Nothing wrong with Browns. They are a reliable burger place. I have also began to like Boston Pizza more now that it is so nearby (and has that great online ordering).

Good news around Lonsdale. Lots of things going on in there. I just still hope there would be few taller towers going up...

Ah, I see. I'm more involved on the residential side than the commercial, so wasn't totally sure.

Although Mr. Sushi (from Lynn Valley) is listed in CRUs 9/10, they will actually be doing izakaya restaurant, not just a sushi place.

You mean not all hair and nail salons ??

2nd the great job remark. Really set the standard for a revived Lonsdale. Thanks from the community. To me the missing puzzle piece is still which large tenant will go in at 1st and Lonsdale corner on the East side.

For such a prominent site, and one of the last remaining sites near the water, this is royally disappointing. Because of it's adjacency to buses and the Seabus, this site should max out the density with a high density tower. I wasn't a Lower Lonsdale resident back in the 2000's when that 36 floor tower was proposed there, which I totally would've loudly supported.

And this absolutely doesn't contribute anything architecturally to the overall look of our great neighbourhood, especially in such a prestigious location. VERY DISAPPOINTING.

Send this one back to a redesign!

Not an interesting design by any stretch. But I like the integration with the mews behind 'Restaurant Row", and with the Spirit Trail.

Pinion, I'm not a fan of how it "fits in" with the Pinnacle buildings. It's going to be too matchy matchy / generic. If this gets passed, the city council are dummies. This site has so much potential.

That original proposal in 2008 even had a floating pool as part of a community amenity. How cool would that be. Hopefully those NIMBY folks have died off by now and we can get something much more distinct for our great neighbourhood.

No doubt eh! Council folks need to make way for young blood. Maybe I should run for city council.

Of all the places, this would be a beauty of a spot for a tower.
