You are right. I (sadly) counted wrong. But it seems to be at 21 floors to me when count visually.

Suffice to say it will be at least twice as high as now, when finished.

I always love your updates! thanks. such a great vantage point.

i can't figure out how to draw a line in iphoto but if you count about 13 floors up from where the commercial component ends,
you can see how many floors are left to build. quite a bit..

From the thread, I get the sense of a collective, unspoken wish that The Georgia will be a building that "dynamizes" downtown, with height and design.
Let's hope that it will !!!

I'm happy to oblige. I can't wait to see some south-side glazing on this puppy.

That's the Four Seasons on the right and the HSBC building on the left which means I am looking at West Georgia St., yet the VAG is sideways in this pic when I should be facing it.

Photo snapped near Robson @ Hornby.
You're seeing the west side of the original courthouse building, not the later expansion south of it (closer to Robson St.) Both buildings make up the VAG.

Similar shot from Gooogle Street view:

ahh, I see now. thanks.

The problem is that the Hornby side of the old courthouse looks a lot like the front of the VAG.

Nice shots - you can really see the anfgle now.
Remember that the angle leans out til it becomes flush with/alligns with the commercial podium below, then comes back in, and we haven't reached the part where it comes back in yet.

Pics by me today -

Is the glass in the back of the office podium representative of the glass on that side of the tower -
(DLeung's two-tone cheap-out?) - it still looks fairly mullion-free (not a contrasting grid).
