Yep it's why the Bow River in Calgary is that beautiful colour in most pics with it in it.

As others have mentioned uzi, it is indeed natural. I'm sure the long exposure helps to gloss it up a bit too.

I know that turquoise color is natural and formed by glaciers and I know there are many beautiful lakes and rivers in B.C. And AB with that color but I was just curious about the Whitehorse creek.

and bulliver one more stupid question. did you use some kind of filter for long exposure? cause when I was in AB few months ago I tried to take many long exposure shots of lake louise but they all turned out white.

Yes, I was using a 4-stop Neutral Density filter. It is a color-neutral filter that simply blocks 4 stops worth of light, allowing for long exposures during daylight. Gives you the nice silky sheen in the water.

What a hike!

Today we hiked to Berry Head Arch. This trail was "only" rated difficult, as opposed to the Spout hike, which was ranked strenuous. This one was also only 17.1 km instead of 26.

But, wow... it was gorgeous!

Some of these photos were just with my iPhone, but most were proper.

And the full set:

I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I didn't want to create a new thread.

I'm going to be heading up to Chibougamau, QC on Friday and was wondering what the most scenic route would be. Google is suggesting a route via Rouyn-Noranda, a route via Ottawa and La Verendrye Park, and a route via Montreal and Lac St-Jean. All of them are roughly the same length, but I'm curious which would be the prettiest drive.

The most scenic route will be for sure the HWY 138/ HWY 170 but it will take you more time.

HWY 155 is a hilly road with stunning landscape ( St Maurice River), that will be my second choice.

I would also strongly suggest him to take Route 175 between Québec city and Saguenay ! It's Worth the drive !

https://www.google.ca/maps/@47.57593...fc9FYAqFyQ!2e0

https://www.google.ca/maps/@48.06003...Qg!2e0!5m1!1e4

I will take for my own region, but Route 175 is the prettiest drive ! And it has a speed limit of 100km/h.

I must admit that route 155 to La tuque is also one heck of a drive.
