Here is the latest on Old Tucson Studios.
If you read it closely its a bunch of garbage they said they did and didn't. Like community meetings and involvement. Its nonsense. They did no such thing and part of their requests in their proposal was they must have bike trails, gastro opportunities, etc. None of this is what the community requested. They say they got two bidders and they selected one to tour the site this month. They'll bring it before the Pima County Board of Supervisors for a yea or nay I guess. Say goodbye to Old Tucson as we know it.

But in better news.....the Mescal site was saved by someone entirely different called Kartcher Ventures. Not sure who that is or if they're associated with Kartchner Caverns but they say they plan to renovate and make it an active working lot again, but who knows to what degree. Apparently Mescal was not part of the OTS deal. And that AZ State came in at the beginning of the year and requested the owners (Diamond Ventures at the time still) to level it and replant the area. So somehow the Kartchner people were able to save it. I have no idea how.
