I was going to say the same thing about trees. Recall that this was an airport (i.e., no trees) and everything, especially in the central areas, was planted. In the areas that have been around for a while, the trees are already beginning to mature. Others will take time, but give it another 10-20 years, it's going to be truly amazing.

If you walk through the residential only streets in Mueller those Mexican Sycamore trees are growing fast and offering a ton of shade on some of the streets. Few of the streets are in full shade now. I think that species of tree grows 3-4 feet a year. The whole neighborhood will definitely look even better over time with mature trees.

I love Mexican sycamores! Such a beautiful tree, reminds me of the tree in Colorado.

Virtual high fives to whoever snaps some shots of Mueller soon Like the way Parkside bookends the lake--super fun urban feel. Ready for the AMLI bldgs to open. Any word on some more places to enjoy a beer/mixed drink? Seems to be something really missing.

I wonder if we will ever see the Mueller HEB get torn down and replaced with a store on top of a parking garage like South Congress. That parking lot is sitting on a lot of land.

Isn’t it only a decade old? Hancock, Allendale and East 7th HEB are better candidates.

Mueller HEB is nuts. It needs to be 2 stories with underground parking.

I think the new Whole foods at 51st and Cameron will take a little pressure off. There is also a Sprouts about to open near Best Buy.

Is this the Oltorf store? Was it replaced? When? It was needed!

Still under construction, but is similar to the new store on Lake Austin Blvd. As Mueller grows, I feel like the Mueller HEB will need to be updated. It's already a madhouse and poor use of space.

(HEB Mueller) Could be the perfect candidate for finally getting a mixed-use HEB in town. The prospect of living above an HEB alone would have those units sold so fast.

Only if the refrigerators could be auto-filled with the push of a button. Or else receive groceries via vacuum tubes.

If we can build one of the first AC houses, why not tube fridges connected to a grocer below?

They had a plan of doing that with the 7th St HEB, which I would say is also a better candidate than Mueller for this.

Has there been any movement with that project? Fully agree, but also why not both. Besides the chaos of having the Mueller one closed for the construction of a much larger project...
