The express elevators are definitely glass. That has been a long-marketed feature of the building: that guests will check in up top after an exhilarating ride up the side of the city's tallest building.
As for that NW room, that is not a balcony. It is an enormous spa bathroom with a circular tub positioned in the center of the floor. In a building this tall, I would be shocked to see them allowing balcony access to anyone willing to rent a room. Most hotels lock or obstruct windows to prevent suicides, drunk shenanigans, etc.
