- The Boyle St homeless shelter was demolished
- New development has sprung up from the EPCOR site
- Capital Tower is being renovated
- The building on the SW corner was repainted with more bright cheerful colors
- Asian eatery called One01 Bistro opened
- Japanese Village is coming soon
- Just 1 or 2 blocks away is Rogers Place, which recently played host to the Stanley Cup finals
