London is Irkutsk or Novosibirsk of Ontario. With somewhat better weather.

The Laval of Ontario is Scarborough. Mega Malls, commie blocks and modern slabs, cookie cutter housing tracks, and of course, freeways. London hasn't any freeways (except on the most southern periphery), and lacks Mega Malls.

Haha! Toronto has rodeo condos and we don't! The building itself looks not the worst. Not great but nothing like Laval's newest batch of Urbania condos.

Do they pronounce Rodeo the California way?

It's not as bad as I expected. Acceptable as background noise in a city Toronto's size.

Note that it's "roh-day-oh", not "road-ee-oh"!

I don't see the connection. Scarborough has one freeway (the 401 which bisects the entire province) and one mega mall. Laval doesn't seem to have commie blocks and Scarborough doesn't really have the towers in park modern slab communities. You may as well go Durham Region.

Crap-you-let lane. Utterly bereft of Charm. I pass by it daily.

It's more the name. Building is just the typical fat glass block in order to cram 750 units in it.

Those new condos are technically better looking than the Capulet ones (although not by much), but the area is beyond grim. It's fronting a major road in an employment area. There's literally nothing worth walking too unless you work in one of the nearby warehouses.

The Capulet Lane project has expanded. Four towers are in various stages of completion, behind the equally fugly RONA (the no-longer Canadian "CAN-DO" people").

See the beauty here: https://www.google.ca/maps/place/Wonderl...0cfa8bad3!8m2!3d42.9883661!4d-81.2950386

I'm starting to suspect RONA and Reno Depot are the same company.

They are. It didn't start out that way but they merged a few years ago.

Well, clearly we need to boycott them. Hideous cityscapes spread outward from their locations as though they were the roots for the ample-parking-and-concrete blossom.
