It's hard to be sure, but it looks to me like the core is now about the same hight as 50 Fremont. That would put it at about 600 feet.
I was making my way into the city for the first time in months, and I was shocked to see this one had got so tall. The Bay Bridge serves as a good vantage point for observing this tower. Of course, I could only afford momentary views in my effort not to rear end someone. I'm not that sure either, but the building itself actually looked taller than 50 Fremont, probably around the order of 615'. Either way, its at least as tall as 50 Fremont, and thats always nice to see.

Yes, that's about right. Coming down Portola Drive/Twin Peaks this morning, I can see that the core is just slightly above 50 Fremont - the local 600 foot measuring stick - by maybe around 10 feet or so. The floor slabs are also now higher than the top floor of 50 Fremont.
Very nice, p.g. But that shot from the water is as I feared: more "table top effect". We need the TransBay and we need it bad.
Yeah, I agree. The TransBay would not only get rid of the "table top effect in that pic, but it would also fill in the gap between Millennium and 50 Fremont in the picture.
Here are a few pictures of 301 Mission from today. The first few are from about 30 stories up in a nearby building (425 Market) and, unfortunately, 50 Fremont blocks much of the view. The remainder are some pictures from the ground on an afternoon trip to the ATM. The last is a bonus picture of the new Foundry Square building (with 301 in the background).
I hope these are helpful for people to see the progress and the look of the building. It really is quite lovely.
