I was just saying to someone a week ago that there is no Wendy's on the south end. Nice to hear there will be soon. It appears that there will also be a similar sized building on the property that is "under offer" and from the site plan, it too has a drive thru. I wonder what that will be?

Has the old Tony Roma's/Consumers Distributing building been demolished, or is Wendy's being built in front of the old TR's? I can't tell.

Link to site plan from ICR...

Nearest one is in Harbour Landing. There's one in Indigo, but that's different I guess.

The Indigo Starbucks is Regina’s only corporate location. That’s why you can only use the app to order in advance for that location (which is extremely frustrating lol).

Yeah, there have been something like 20 in the past month that have unionized, and another 200+ waiting on votes/certification. It's become a huge movement within the organization. Good for the employees!

For the first time in its 109 year history, the Regina Beach Yacht Club restaurant will be open to he public. Probably the best view of any restaurant in the province. It will definitely be worth the drive out. I would recommend weekdays as I understand that only members can make reservations and you will not want to be disappointed.

From Facebook:
Free Bird is in Regina Beach.

The moment we’ve all been waiting for…
We are excited to announce that we will be running the Regina Beach Yacht Club kitchen this spring/summer season - we are calling it the Brass Monkey.
•Keep your eyes peeled for posts about opening and opening hours.
•FOR RESUMES: please email [email protected] or come drop it off in person at the restaurant. Please note we are also looking for kitchen staff!
•The name Brass Monkey comes from the beastie boys song, as we always like to keep it fresh, and go with music-inspired names. Brass monkey also happens to be the place where pirates store their cannon balls on a ship, making the name nautical as heck. We are so pumped to extend our little zoo to y’all. Thank you to RBYC for being so supportive to us while we plan for this exciting endeavour, see y’all at the beach.

This place opened up in the strip mall on south Albert beside Dandy’s. There was a huge line up this evening. There’s also a new sit down place called Rock Tavern + Eatery in that same strip mall (it’s the best strip mall in the city and it isn’t close).

I've scoped out Dandy's a few times (online) and the flavours have seemed interesting, but I've been waiting until one really jumped out to motivate me to making the trip. Your post reminded me to check again... Saskatoon Berry Cheesecake is currently a seasonal flavour; I think it's time to hit it up. Thanks!

Dandy's is fantastic, one of Regina's best local businesses. I'd highly recommend getting your ice cream in one of their waffle cones—everything they sell is made in-house. imo their best flavours are Blueberry Pie Crumb and London Fog. You can also order a flight of ice cream in order to have multiple flavours. I think they'll also let you sample a small spoonful before ordering.

I misspoke in my original post & edited it; the new sit-down place in that strip mall is called Rock Tavern + Eatery.

The Bone and Broth Kitchen has opened at 1833 Scarth downtown in the former Gilmour's. Food looks really good including in-house baking.

Alright, alright, alright all.

A couple of us are headed there for Grey Cup and while my buddy is originally from there, I'd like to know where to hit up.

-staple pubs
-gastros
-local gems
-great happy hours
-best pickled eggs
-best wood

We will be there Friday till Monday of Grey Cup weekend.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers!

FYI there is 2 Victoria's Tavern but the older one in historic building (and nicer one IMHO) is the one downtown on Hamilton just off Victoria Ave.

P.S. I used to live in Edmonton for a few years about 10 years ago so I have seen all your great pic posts on the Edmonton forum pages also. Hope you and your friends have a blast here despite the crappy prairie weather.
