The American Interstate system would be a better replication of the Autobahn if it had no restriction on speeds in some places, it takes too long to drive through Maine as it is.

I understand your point though, it's all for military mobility.
Makes sense though, I suppose. I think i'd be in fantasy land if the Americans twinned the Maine 9 and tied it into Route 1 in New Brunswick. I'm sure all of the people in southern NB that drive to Bangor for random sales would appreciate.

The Route 1 Project twinning is probably going to take 10-15 minutes off of the hour drive from Saint John to the border
