Hey all.. lots of good stuff going on...

I was dropping of a couple DVD's at the downtown Rogers last night & noticed a new crane up right behind the Devonian Building. Any idea what's going on ?

Speaking of the Devonian, please please tell me they're not going to leave the old brick fascia alongside the new curtain wall. It's looks incredibly gaudy!

BTW, what's the name of the building in between 109 and 108 on Jasper right beside the Executive (and Fluid) that is getting the overhaul? Are they taking off the concrete lattice work? Call it a good representation of a period in architecture, I call it god awful ugly.

Lattice is coming off, it will be a glass curtain wall brought forward to the street doubling the floorplate size.

Me too. I'm hoping it'll attract surface level shops that can serve a growing condo population rather than the 9 to 5 crowd. I've been poking around some of the bid & spec work that our other department is doing to see if anything has been released yet... I'm interested to find out what the scope of the job will be.

Bloody cold day to be on the roof of the Atco building... but it's so bright out it would have been a good day for some rooftop pix! I'll have to remember to pack my camera around a little more often.
