I don't see 145 S Wells on Page 1. If they're doing demo, is that an approved project?

If someone had installed a timelapse webcam at 1101 S Wabash and it took 1 picture a month you still wouldn't have missed anything. This project is a 2 legged turtle. I'm fairly certain the construction crew is just 1 guy. The others in this pic are cardboard props.

Great pics as always Mr. C

The commercial portion of the Hubbard/Wells development has pillars up now.

Also looks like there may be construction fencing being staged for the 675 N Wells project - there's a pile of it on that now-vacant lot.

It's definitely not living up to the rendering anyway.

^^^ I hate parking podiums as much as the next guy, but can we start building up in the West Loop yet? How many block long 17 floor buildings is it going to take before the NIMBY's realize they are creating an industrial chic, 15 floor, version of Parisian density in their neighborhood? If all the proposals currently active for the West Loop go through, that area is going to be nothing but a maze of 15 floor canyons with no sunlight whatsoever. It could do for a few 35 floor buildings with an ammenity deck podium to let some light in.

^ I don't know, I kind of like the idea of 15 floor canyons. Chicago needs hoods like that. Paris is awesome, and sunlight is overrated

Umm, these type of proposals went well for Downtown DC. Height alone doesn't determine the vitality and feel of a neighborhood.

I completely agree, the Parisian cityscape is amazing. West Loop is basically already there, might as well complete it. Also, it's being enclosed by the expressway highrises, at least we got that working for us, height-wise. Besides the level of NIMBY-ism in West Loop is out of this world, they don't deserve sunlight. Haha

17 floors proposed near that park? Maybe they'll get 10... That area has the angriest residents against buildings of height. Or building for that matter.
