Almost summer but not quite. The last few days have been dry with a mix of sun and cloud.
Hazy sky today and very pleasant. The palm trees are flowering.

Sunday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 20 C, the low was 12 C.

In Kaohsiung for the next week. High of 32C today. Extra humid by the water.

Spent the afternoon around Pier 2.

7C and low cloud in Moncton at 9 AM. Shockingly, on the drive into work this morning, you could actually see the sun through the gloom at times.

It is supposed to clear off later today with a high of 16C.

The next three days should be glorious, with temperatures up to 26C.

Maybe I'll get to cutting the rest of my grass before it turns into a hayfield.

Pretty much summer in Alberta! Some severe thunderstorm watches issued, but looks like the storms will miss me. Never know though, 2 hours till I leave work, so lots of opportunity for a cell to develop lol.

^ Nice photos, giallo & mcminson

It's another partly sunny day in Vancouver, with a high about 17°C. This Wednesday should be more of a scorcher.

(drive-by photos from today.)

Amazing pics all around on this page!

This is the BC Coast’s jungle season. From mid May to mid July everything is insanely lush, thick and green.

Then from mid July to mid September you generally get the drier summer look.

21C and sunny. Some thunderstorm this afternoon and then it cleared back up. I do not like spring thunderstorms because the dewpoint is not high still. That means the temperatures drops a lot after the rain (dropped to 15C today after the t-storm).
Overall, still not warm enough for this time of the year.

Low of 9C this morning.

The warmspot was Fort Chipewyan, AB at 32.7C.

Warmest low was Fort Chipewyan, AB at 17.3C.

They happen sometimes in the eastern portions of the valley out near Chilliwack.

But if you go to Kelowna or Kamloops late afternoon thunderstorms are quite frequent.

In fact many sunny days in the Okanagan Valley end with huge anvil clouds all along the valley ridges, and sometimes they spill over into the valley. Same for the Shuswap and Kamloops areas.

That's Cascade Falls in Hatzic Valley. Lovely, but unfortunately that's about as close as you can actually get to the falls.

Feeling like summer again, went for a short hike in Chatham last evening. Probably one of the last chances before mosquitoes are overwhelming. This is a good example of Carolinian forest, with a wide variety of trees including some large sycamores, oaks and hackberry
