If you can't make money from a McDonald's, you're doing it wrong.

Strange when the seafoam glass is the architectural highlight.

You were begging for something better than the Space Frame McDonalds, you got it.

Realistically, rental buildings will almost always be boring and utilitarian. Nothing wrong with that IMO.

For the promo brochure, it should be stated that there are nostalgic elements reflecting Vancouver incorporated into the architectural design.

The design rationale calls that green portion the bridge... and states it's supposed to pay homage to a nearby bridge that was located in the area... absurd.

architects are really grasping at straws sometimes.

The cantilevered top of Central next door is more like a bridge than that little part of the podium.

It looks like it's inspired by some 1950-60s motel balcony. If they can't think of anything better they should just keep the dark panels across the entire building.

They need brightly coloured doors or panels on the wall behind.

It's not even that important for the building to be architecturally interesting considering it will be blocked by whatever gets built in the lot in front of it.

Yeah, save the "iconic" architecture for a site where it can actually be shown off.
