Wascana Trails - Drone Footage (near Regina, SK)

Love Wascana trails. People do not realize that there are 30 twisting KM of river containing significant rapids between Sherwood Forest and Wascana Trails. during spring runoff and after significant storms there is great whitewater kayaking. Here is a photo I took in the fall when the water is much lower.

Where exactly do u get to the start of Wascana Trails? Do u head out to Sherwood Forest?

No, just head west on Condie Rd. off Highway 11 until you hit the signs. There is a parking lot and toilets at the trailhead. It is great for dog walking and mountain biking as well.

Although this time of year can be bad for taking a dog there. The ticks are really bad at Wascana Trails.

Ticks are everywhere and can't be avoided if you like to get out of the City. They are even in parts of the City. You just have to put up with them or treat your dog.

Open House set for proposed Chuka Creek Business Park in Regina

A new industrial area could be on the way for the southeast end of Regina.

A concept plan application for a proposed new industrial park called “Chuka Creek Business Park” is in the works.

Shauna Bzdel, director of planning with the City of Regina, says the development would be in a unique location.

“There’s a boundary of the Bypass that seprates this area from the rest of the city,” Bzdel said. “It’s been a challenge for growth on the east side of the Bypass. That’s what makes it different from any other areas of the city.”

Monday the city is hosting an open house to give people the chance to check out the plan, give feedback and ask city staff or the developer questions.

The come-and-go open house will start at 5 p.m. and go until around 8 p.m. at Living Hope Alliance Church on Arcola Avenue.

Probably didn't want to go through the paperwork - easier to just create their own. The official logo is available for free for non-commericial & commercial use (commercial use, when associated with the direct sale of a good or service, requires a licence agreement - doubtful Harvard's use would require an agreement).
