I saw a rendition that someone is going to build a 10 story condo unit on that empty lot that is North east of this tower. They are really trying to fill up the space on the river.

I'm pretty sure it's more than ten stories, to judge from the elevations I saw...

It's so funny how the core is now taller then many of the buildings surrounding it. I wonder what the benefits of building the core so high first is.

The way I understand it, they're building the core up while they're excavating around it; the benefit being that they're doing the two things at the same time, rather than sequentially.

Does anybody know if Hines have any other projects taking place in Chicago other than the Lasalle?

Great shots SolarWind. 300 N. Lasalle started later than Waterview and is further along!

Photo from next door

I work in 350 N. LaSalle and took this on Friday, June 8.
The ghost car on the bridge and crooked background building are due to photostitching. :-)

SlideShows of construciton

A few views of the 300 N LaSalle tower going up, I will keep these pages updated. I am still working on the auto-stitch skills and consistent angles/resolutions required for good sideshows.
