About the only place you can see into this site is a tiny hole looking in through King Street... so pictures aren't that great. Anyways, here are some from around 11 AM this morning.

Next time I'm by in the day time I'll take some pictures from a different angle. I have a few places I can reach with my height. Noticed they've been hiding this site recently weirdly.

Wonder why, perhaps people climbing in and trespassing? I've noticed some other developments have security on site.

I'd wager it's to help prevent theft of materials and equipment.

if you looks closely there is a hinged door in the hoarding wall on king william that is big enough to take pictures through - that's what I used to take my images - those should be free of obstructions.

It’s residential so I believe it qualifies to continue.

If the project has been started by January 12th, it can keep going. No new projects after the 12th.

They are currently working on the last below-grade level. Photos taken just before noon this morning.

I noticed a camera on the restored/rebuilt building by Urban Core next door (59 King) and am assuming at some point Liuna will provide the feed on the Cobalt website or for some time lapse videos.

This should start rising fast now, the hard work is done. I'm most excited to see this one complete simply because it's in the heart of downtown. Sitting in Gore Park is going to look extremely different in the coming years!

The 1,000 people or so that will move into the building will also be huge boost for the area. This building has 525 units in it. I feel like the Royal Connaught renovation has brought a lot of activity to the immediate vicinity with its 231 units.. this complex is twice the size.

Did anyone ever find the architectural drawings that shows number of units by size and number of parking spots? Does this building include public parking?

I haven't seen the latest version of the plans available - someone could probably email the planning department and get them if they want though.

From what I recall the development originally planned 2 levels of underground parking and several levels of above grade parking to accommodate the residential component of the parking requirements. I believe the 2 additional levels underground are now planned for commercial parking, though I could be wrong on that. I believe the city is currently offering financial incentives to construct commercial parking so some developers are electing to do so.

The little description of the SPA application does list 525 units here, but no breakdown of types.
