The first tower crane has been erected at the lime street tower site, the 192m skyscraper is situated in the city cluster and is going up alongside other towers.

ONE BLACKFRIARS TOWER (the boomerang) 163 u/c
The boomerang tower in the city is rising now alongside other blackfriars city towers, the facade will have double skinned cladding.

122 LEADENHALL STREET (the cheese grater) 225m u/c
The leadenhall tower is almost complete now and is really showing its presence on the skyline, the new night lighting is expected to be great.

20 FENCHURCH STREET (the walkie talkie) 160m u/c
The roof/crown of the walkie talkie tower is progressing well, and they are working on a solution to the sun ray, car melting problem.

ST GEORGE'S TOWER 181m u/c
The new st George's tower is now externally complete, the night lighting system has been installed and the tower crane removed.

SOUTHBANK TOWER 155m u/c
The southbank tower is now fully under construction.

BALTIMORE WHARF 150m u/c
The Baltimore wharf tower at canary wharf is progressing well, the twisting tower is beginning to rise.

The saffron square tower in Croydon is growing quickly now, it will soon be joined by other towers.

Providence tower, another canary wharf development is rising well now, and is a great new addition.

25 Churchill place, another canary wharf tower, has topped out and is now two thirds per let, a great sign of the rinsing office market and continual improvement of the British economy.

A FEW GOOD NEWS STORIES TODAY

A new tower is to begin construction in canary wharf next month. The construction phase of the 124m tower at 40 marsh wall has been put into action after an anchor remnant has signed on to occupy the tower, the anchor tennant Accor hotel group, will occupy most of the tower and its prime floors.

Personally I think this is another great tower development for canary wharf, it is not as tall as the others, but it's located in the perfect part of canary wharf, near the water, soon, when all these towers have topped out, the whole of marsh wall will be a wall of residential towers, while the rest of canary wharf continues building it's tall office towers.
I may be a skyscraper geek, but I'm really excited about what canary wharf will look like in three years, it's going to be huge, and right next to it, joined on to it, is all the new towers going up in wood wharf, just on the other side there is the new towers going up in Greenwich, and right nearby is the London city island towers, it's going to be so much bigger than any other cluster in Europe, and that is just canary wharf, with all the other big towers going up and new large clusters being built, imagine what London will look like when all these towers and clusters are complete, London will be the only European city with a canyon of towers, I love it

ANOTHER GOOD NEWS TODAY
A planning application is being submitted to the planning authorities, to build a new development of several towers. The development is at the bishopsgate goodsyard, the plan is for two stand out towers of 200m and 205m respectively, and several smaller towers, construction is stated to begin next year.

I like these ones too, they are situated close to the city cluster and from most angels will be a big contribution to the city cluster of several towers, this along with the other u/c towers and prep towers, will give massive density to that specific city cluster.

ANOTHER GOOD NEWS TODAY
A new so called (futuristic) tower will soon be rising in Stratford, London.
The new tower is 26fl and is to be built at 206-214 Stratford high street, on the same road where all the other completed and u/c towers are.

In my opinion, allthoe there are lots of towers on that road, some of them are not of the most top quality, but they're ok and have given the area good dense tower cluster, every new tower I welcome.

The quickly expanding Stratford highrise cluster in east London, has now just added one more, in a development that has several more towers, the first tower will go up first, then the others after that. The 115m+ tower is being built at 2-12 Stratford high street, a smaller 14fl midrise will go up with it, the location is right in the Stratford highrise cluster, more density for the cluster, great for london

Hordings have just gone up at the London city island towers site. The project, consisting of six towers, is located just outside canary wharf, construction begins in a few weeks at the latest, the appartements have been marketed to Chinese professionals in Hong Kong and are allready mostly sold out. All the towers will be built together at the same time, in one stage, so all six will be complete at the same time, making this a very sspeedy development

LONDON SUBWAY WILL BE 24 HOURS

It was announced on Thursday that the London subway will now be open for 24 hours on weekends. This is great news for London and it is also anticipated that it will soon be extended to be 24 hours during the week too, making London the 24/7 subway of Europe. With all the other subway and transport projects in London going on, the city is being revolutionised, new subway tunnels, new stations, crossrail, high speed 2, the new airport terminals, the new deep port container ship and logistics park, the biggest in Europe, new runways and soon a new hub airport (hopefully), and all the other upgrades, subway and overground upgrades and new builds under construction and new bridges and multi billion projects, infrastructure developments and regeneration, London continues to lead Europe in development, investment, foreign investment and infrastructure.

The 20 Albert embankement project began demolition today, the three towers are in the new vauxhall nine elms tower cluster, construction begins in 2/3 months,immediately after demolition is complete.

THE MERANO RESIDENCES TOWER 29fl DEMO
The new MERANO residences has began demolition in preparation for construction. The 29fl tower, which is also being built in the new vauxhall nine elms skyscraper cluster, has been designed by prestigious British architect sir Richard Rodgers and begins construction in a couple of months straight after demolition is completed.

An application for a block of new towers has been submitted to the city of London for approval. The towers with a height of 170m,154m and 141m are to begin construction in the summer, the design is reminiscent of the Rockefeller centre in New York. The floor space of the block is huge and will add massive density to that part of the city cluster, these towers and the under construction scalpel tower will fill the gap between the walkie talkie tower and the rest of the city cluster and with the other towers going up, will create a continuous skyline from one side to the next, really great news

Another tower development on commercial road is now in demo, the 60 commercial road tower, at 19fl, is smaller than the other towers going up in that cluster, but it looks to be of good quality
