From this view, 150 Main West is sure looking pretty substantial! Can't wait to see it fully skinned!

Photo is mine, taken tonight, shot from Sam Lawrence Park. 500mm.

How many levels is it at now? It must be almost topped out!

Looks like 26 more or less completed from that side, including the podium. Not sure if it's to be 28 storeys from the Main St. side or the George St. side... the slope between them gives George 1 more floor, so it's got either 2 or 3 more to go.

Regardless, it's an imposing presence.

Nice subtle gap-fill there.

Also noticing that they're finally re-installing more reflective glass 2/3 of the way up 100 King West. It has looked weird to me that those three floors didn't have it for a long time.

It would be nice to see MEC go in there, or maybe SAIL then.

Oh man, been down that road before - don't get coalmine going...

It is a big space, though, so that's definitely where the intrigue lies.

If done well enough, it would make a great event space/banquet hall. It'd be gorgeous for weddings.

Took a long drive today and came back to town via the former Hwy 8. I stopped right at the top of the escarpment in Dundas and took in the view - Bella is quite notable. Once she's clad and glassed it will be a nice addition to that angle of the skyline.

I went into the sales centre today and the guy working said only the shorter tower will be condo units. The taller one is to be high end rentals with a separate pool and rooftop area between it and the Hilton.

Rentals are good too, especially high end ones. Our downtown doesn't have much high end rentals.
