I love it. Such a great addition to downtown in many ways. Let's not forget that, totally separate from its height, office component, and appearance, this tower also financed the restoration of the Hotel Georgia.
Thanks for the photos Locked-In.

It would appear that they have repainted the top level Grecian-style trimmings on the Hotel Georgia that classic cream colour. (Remember it had gone a pinkish brown for a while? Maybe that was an undercoat) Anyway, unless I'm wrong, it seems back to its original colour now.
... and they're chipping away at part of the windowledge, too. I hope they're refurbishing it, and not tearing it off.
As a quick aside, I would love to see the top of Sears be planted with a publicly accessible green roof, maybe with a cafe and some moveable seating. It would be neat, too, if they could partner with the Art Gallery and have a sculpture garden up there.
Thanks for the photo ckkelly.

good idea, particularly if it incorporated a restaurant component. this is pretty prevalent in japan, with the roof buffets, etc., and they're very popular. something like that would also be an interesting nod to the once legendary sky garden, atop the long lost hotel vancouver on the adjacent site.
