0C (wind chill of -3) and snowing. It actually started accumulate this evening as the temperature dropped. Disgusting.
This winter from hell is never ending.

Was actually 4C last night.

The warmspot was Coronach, SK at 19.7C.

Warmest low was White Rock, BC at 8.3C.

Great pic, love the aridness of the Kamloops area.

At ticks up there?? Anytime I hike off trail around Kelowna I’m flicking a few off of me.

How far is that off long term historical norms for Montreal?

Overcast and soggy. When we finally do get some sun and warmth again the lilac blossoms are ready to bust out.

Tuesday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 11 C, the low was 8 C.

According to AccuWeather it looks like Montreal's average high on April 8th should be about 9 C or 10 C, and a low of about -2 C.

We receive quite the snow dump yesterday. Probably the largest snowfall I've seen in April. It's still mostly intact this morning and I'm sure it will not take too long to disappear, but it's still pretty annoying since I had started working on my property before it happened and was planning to do that this weekend as well.

Currently 0C and partly cloudy in Moncton at 11 AM, going up to +3C this afternoon.

The snowfall overnight was essentially a nothingburger. Only about 1 cm accumulation, and hard surfaces remained clear.

No snow in the 7 day forecast period. I think winter is officially over.

Looking at Historical Data from weather.gc.ca (YUL) for the past 13 years or so, checking random years; 2014, 2017 etc it appears there are some years with cold spells through the beginning of April in Montreal. Actually, Montreals March 2025 appears to have been about 4.3c above normal.

2018 seems to be a particularly cool start to April, more so than this year.

No I've been lucky. Seems like everyone around me always seems to find a couple though.

Avg high is 10C, that is correct but average low is 0C.

It's nothing unseen before but this winter in general has been way too long and there has been a lack of mild spells generally. Also people tend to be the most annoyed when we experience below normal weather in April (and to a lesser extent May). Days are longer, people looking forward to spring...

1C and sunny today. Another brutal cold day.

Low of -7C (wind chill of -13) this morning. Woke up to a snow blanket. Thankfully melted by afternoon.

The warmspot was a three way tie: Brooks, AB; Esther, AB; Meadow Lake, SK at 17.6C.

Warmest low was Sand Heads, BC at 8.7C.

-2C and sunny in Moncton at 8 AM. Given the calm conditions and brilliant sunshine, it certainly feels much warmer than this.

Going up to +7C this afternoon, +9C tomorrow.

Beautiful today. Chilly but the sun is very strong. Just a hoodie with sleeves rolled up is enough.

Snow in the trees has disappeared now. Plants are starting to spring up around my pond and my prairie and alpine crocuses will be up next week.

Zero snow in Calgary, though we may get a dusting on saturday. Lots of crocuses blooming on south facing slopes and flowers poking up everywhere. This is grass fire season here, a little moisture would be very welcome.
