Yeah 3rd quarter is July,August,September i can't wait to see it half way done.
Anyone by any chance knows what year the observation deck will be open to public?

Because Subway was the lowest bidder.

In fact the entire tower is being built by the lowest bidder.

Probably 2013 when the tower is completed.

BTW, I'm officially declaring 2010 THE YEAR OF THE FREEDOM TOWER !

It's the year that the iconic skyscraper finally begins to tower over what was once "ground zero" and the average person becomes aware that in fact, the skyline restoration is imminent. It will be a new tallest for the country, and all of the hard work of the previous two years will pay off in 2010. All of the other WTC towers will fall in line behind the Freedom Tower as it plows its way into the sky. As much excitement as we've had recently with the tower progress, let us prepare for even more excitement in 2010!...

Yes this year is a year of amazing progress.

But I ask to myself: What did they do from April 2006 (when construction begun) to late 2008? There was not very much progress.

that time frame , they did the most crtical part of the building.. foundation work all the detail involved with the path train tracks below.. remeber the BD was just built on sand with no infrastructure below.. this freedom tower is by far the the most complexed building ever ..just wait to you see 2010 updates on this magnificant structure.....

That building is what is known as the new Tower 7 of the World Trade Center.

One question: We have Tower 1, 2, 3 and 4, and 7. And perhaps 5 (the 130 Liberty Street building). Where is Tower 6?

Possible. But 99 Church Street is on-hold since October.
