Okay, I understand this is probably a very early render, but that's pretty dang fugly:

And this is just for the hotel/museum portion. Not the condo or office tower.

Totally agree about Burdine's classrooms. I took several there and the acoustics were horrible. You could barely see the professors.

That is an ugly building. Yikes. I hope they aren't planning on building that. It looks like a jail. And with it being located at such a prominent location, that'll be horrible if they do choose that design.

At least it's only 17 floors, probably right at or below 200 feet. Probably shorter than The Shore. I am interested in the project though. It has the potential to be a catalyst for the east side of downtown. It looks like there's at least 4 towers in that plan.

Yea that building looks UGLY, how dare they even try to post something that looks like that on their website. Whoever designed that piece of C*&%p needs to be fired and replaced with somebody who actually knows how to design a nice building with pleasing features.

There's supposed to be a taller building with 21c isn't there?

49 floors is what the newspaper had said. The old design (and location) had been listed as 580 feet tall with 44 floors. The new design, (the one shanny posted above) is probably very close to 600 feet tall.

If you look close enough you can see that this new rendering is in the old rendering and on the website it says it has the potential for two more mixed use buildings

The last I had heard they were supposed to break ground this year. That won't happen of course.

Those are fantastic. I love the one of Frost and the one of Legacy. That was some hefty fog, really some of the most we've seen since last winter.

Wow, those are incredible. I saw that fog and was almost convinced to go out and take some pictures. I decided to leave it to the experts. I think the 9th one (the one with Legacy and Milago, with the lone man fishing and the rower) is by far one of my favorite pictures that you have ever taken. I was wondering if I could get the original picture file so that I can use it as my desktop. Keep up the good work Priller!

I'm not a big fan of winter time, but I do love the atmosphere it creates with weather like that. Then just a day or so later we can have days like this where there isn't a cloud in the sky and it's sunny.

Okay I have a question... If you look at the renderings for the FSR tower it shows that it has the mechanical top part with the two square boxes completely covered. But it does not look like they are planning to build it. Are they waiting till the end to complete that or did they decide not to add it?

Agreed. Those renderings are atrocious and only hurt the future of the project. Jeez.

Here's the rendering of the 1 Hotel that is planned for 5th & Colorado (201 West 5th).

The project is planned to be 215 feet tall with 17 floors. The taller part will face 5th Street. The hotel will only take up half the block, with the podium level rising to 60 feet along the alley on the block.
