I definitely like the built tower more than the previous residential proposal. What we got is simple, elegant, and well-proportioned. Plus we're basically getting a taller versions of that residential proposal at 5th & Lavaca.

^Hanover Republic Square (5th & Lavaca) is 2 feet shorter than the 3rd & Colorado residential tower would have been. Same number of floors, though, but the one at 5th & Lavaca will appear taller because of the higher sea level elevation. Otherwise, they're very similar in height and if they were standing next to each other it would be difficult to tell the difference.

I think detail wise, the residential tower was more interesting and the height was much better. Still, I like 300 Colorado ok. What bugs me about it is the setback.

Is the crown completed? There haven't been any updates here in a while, and I've only recently seen the building from a distance.

I didn't have my camera Thursday evening unfortunately, but they were testing the crown lighting and it looked great. Should be a nice addition to our nighttime skyline. By the way, the crown lighting appears that it will only be on the north and sound side of the building.

Walked by it this morning. The sidewalks are open building looks almost open. The lobby looks great but no work on the Del Frisco Grille space. Sorry, culdn't take pics.

I haven't kept up with if Parsley is still the main tenet of this office building but this was from today:

I might be fine with that because honestly I hate the name Parsley for anything other than the herb--not great for an energy company and certainly not the name of a building. Pioneer Tower would have a much better ring, if they do indeed retain the lease.

ABJ says Pioneer/Parsley is a go. HQ will remain in Las Colinas where Pioneer is based.

No real intel on what happens to the building.

Well at least it isn't going anywhere. If it stays unoccupied for a while, I hope they at least have somebody drop by to turn on the lights at night.

I'm confident that Parsley (now Pioneer) will still maintain an outfit in Austin. It really doesn't make since to move the entire Parsley operational staff to Irving.

I also believe the lease termination fee they paid this year was for their current office lease - not the lease in the new tower. I could, however, be wrong.

Doubtful. It makes no sense to keep both offices, especially since neither in Houston or West Texas near the assets. Parsley is done in ATX.

The finish-out at street level is nice. Materials used in the lobby appear to be quality and same with the exterior. Now we just need some tenants.
