I also agree, it's simply stupid and juvenile. That said, putting balance and vertigo aside, I have never heard of anyone being knocked over by a breeze of any strength, nor a wind unless a powerful and gusting one.

But, back to being an adult: pushing it like this for a rush, to feel alive, etc., is just childish . . . these guys need to talk to rescue crews, paramedics, and emergency doctors; you know, the people they are either endangering or taxing with the potential of their stupidity.

One more flip-flop: pretty cool images. Not worth it, but pretty cool.

Drumpf's tower is the perfect place to hang that squirrel that Trumplestiltskin keeps on his orange head. If he could only reach it with his tiny hands...

I also like how the CN Tower dominates the skyline and would not want to see it challenged.

Looks like it's right around here: https://goo.gl/maps/ua3VntyRXHx

That's the eastern part of the Mimico Yards where VIA has its maintenance facility. Looking across Humber Bay towards downtown, probably from the Islington Ave bridge with a long telephoto lens.

Though I would like to see a tower or two reach the height of, for eg., the spires off First Canadian. In that 350-400m range. As long as it was tastefully done, unlike <almost> anything Drumpf related....

Wtf, that's like 1/10th of the entire city. Wow.

What exactly is a Lylac festival and why does it seem to be the can't miss event of the Calgary spring?

I don't really get the popularity of it to be honest, there are lots of street vendors and a couple beer gardens and lots of bars and pubs along 4St, but it's mostly just a massive crowd moving very slowly up 4St. I think a part of it is that it's the unofficial kick-off to the summer festival season here.

The base of the Main Observation Deck should be Toronto's (just the core) Mount Royal. So nothing south of Dundas should ever exceed 320m.

I feel the exact opposite... I'd love to see several mega-talls scattered about the core, with CN being 4th or 5th tallest in the city, and a bunch more nipping at it's heels.

it's amazing how just the addition of 2 new towers in Montreal has made such a great impact on the skyline. ...I can only imagine the impact the Stantec tower in Edmonton and the 2 new towers for Portage/Main in Winnipeg will have.

Great pics everyone!
