Thumbs up

[QUOTE=Zepfancouver;9342597]Thanks RDW989, you're fueling my addiction to editing (post production junky).
Progress timeline: Post excavation (start of first concrete placement)

Cool — and as addictions go, your’s is a winner.

Concrete Placing Boom Installed Today

I dropped the ball, I knew they were going to add some tower mast and maybe even install the placing boom on the concrete pump very soon.
Next time, on any hinting of activity I'll run a live stream or\and record the day when I'm at work.

Live Stream

Don't think much is going on today. Hope the stream goes well.

Status update...The stream went very well. Learned a few things.
When you end the stream, Youtube will only save the first 12hrs of that stream.
The GIF (35 minute camera recording) is the last part of the stream that was not saved by Youtube.

So is the glass curved?
Hard to tell from that pic.

I'm not sure if the white shell is resistant to turning yellow from heat/UV light. If it's resistant, it will still look gorgeous 10 years after completion.

This could turn out to be one of the top towers in Canada.

Easily.

Not sure about function wise.

But from the exterior, definitely.

These are from October 2017 from a display at Shaw Tower.
JLousa said these weight 1100lbs each (ie concrete) and that it is curved glass.
The concrete looks more refined on the new pic (assuming it's still concrete).

Slab Pour Today

I don't have a floor count. Once I get a view of the deck, I'll make an effort to go to the site and do a floor count, or do a floor count off a future post on this thread.

This thing will look like a space ship when its all done.

Cant wait for that concrete cladding to be in place. Its going to be something.

Also - good luck to the window washers. Its going to be a fun one, like climbing a mountain.

It'll have nice impact from far away, especially with the white concrete.

The swimming pool is level 5. The deck here is level 7.
I believe the pool is part indoor and outdoor and just below the pool is the daycare outdoor playground. I'm impressed!
RDW989, if you ever need a house sitter, I'm available anytime
