Thanks, but I think I am not yet on par with some of those shots. Amazing, as Nat Geo featured photos always are.

Meh, I'd submit one if I was you. The shots are wonderful, and on top of that the landscape is world class. Worst case scenario is a poor finish with great exposure. But I suspect you'd do well!

Went up to Kamloops this week and took some pics in the Lac le Jeune area (a popular fishing/camping spot 'bout 20 mins before the city).

Because of the Pin Beetle epidemic large parts of the forest have had to be cut down creating flowery meadows great for wildlife viewing!

Beautiful pictures.

What purpose does cutting down tracks of forest serve? Can the beetles not cross the open field?

^Thanks,

To answer your question

1. So much dry, dead forest is a big fire hazard
2. The old dead trees stricken by the beetles restrict new growth,
3. The meadows create a mini barrier that might just stop some beetles from spreading.

Thank you. I do like our new X1 as it is very practical, yet sporty, car for a couple living in Downtown. I personally don't like the design of X3, which is why we went with the IMHO better-looking X1.

no doubt it is practical and sporty. I wish my dad thought that way. my dad just bought a 2014 accord because he thinks that "BMW or Merc..... are the symbol of luxury" and said that I don't want to be the centre of attention. that is so stuuuuuupid.
