This area looks so much better than it did when I lived in Hamilton 3 years ago. Will be nice to see this area once all the empty lots are developed.

^I hope it really stands out on the skyline. We need a highly visible sign that Hamilton is on the uptick.

I take the bus down the West 5th hill every day for school and you can see the city through the trees because of the leaves being gone, and you can definitely see Bella Tower sticking out higher than many of it's surrounding buildings.

Also, glass is being installed on the third floor of the addition to 150 Main.

Looks like it's within 4-5 floors of being topped out on the floor plates, with mechanical and roof soon after...

I really hope they do some kind of cleaning treatment to the brick portion. In person it still looks super scummy and could use a good powerwash/sandblast.

The first shot in the post above is amazing, it doesn't even look like Hamilton.

Just a few more floors to go on Bella now.

Indeed it doesn't. I think we've become so used to all the stagnant emptiness downtown that anything new looks like a foreign cityscape. Plus it's still weird to see Mac's new building at Main and Bay instead of the Board of Ed's.

When buildings go up on north side, George St. will be canyon-esque.

Thomas, I'm always impressed with your access to buildings with the great vantage point you take your photos from! This shot in particular is really awesome - looking very dense downtown now!

I haven't taken any photos of this for a while, I just find them all on twitter, flickr, etc. I wish I had access to all of those buildings
