I honestly dont think he has left the east coast of North america... and the scary thing is I think he is pretty old.

Remember when he saw Iron Man 2 and decided that Yorkville was the Monaco of Canada.

Well forsure I am not as old as habsfanman, he's got at least 15 years on me, and yes I have been outside of North America.

Anyways back to transit..

Toronto has 28 km of underground rapid transit, planned and under construction. All 28 km have been fully funded, without bankrupting the city or hindering the economic and job creating potential of the region. In fact we will have to import people to help in the construction of our rapid transit system.

If anyone is interested, here is a "presentation" on transit in Thunder Bay. (It's a PDF version of the information displays they had at a meeting two weeks ago.) It has some comparisons to other cities that you might find interesting, and preliminary results on a survey about transit use.

Seriously, why haven't mods done anything about this guy? It's only once every few weeks I guess, but pretty ridiculous nonetheless.
niwell, if you take issue with anything I say about ugly, soulless, shithole Toronto then by all means: refute it! Keep in mind that I grew up an hour and a half away, lived there for 8 years, and visit fairly frequently. I may have a biased opinion but it is by no means an uninformed opinion.

Calling for the ban of someone who believes that Toronto is a hugely disappointing waste of concrete is.. very Torontonian!

Same shithole that drained all the money and jobs, from montreal in less than a heartbeat.

Souless, maybe..

Cashless, no way! Since the separatist messed up Montreal, and we drained all the cash and talent outta there, we grew so huge we had to globalize the cash and talent draining operation.

Looks as though the TTC has put out a tender for the construction of the new LRT maintainece and storage facility at Lakeshore and Leslie. These new LRT trainsets are 50% longer than the existing fleet, and use upgraded tech, that will require more modern repair and maintainence facilities.

You're every reason why I moved away from Toronto. There are just too many of you there.

In case you aren't drunk, and actually remember past posts - I have done this. Many times. We have gotten in debates about the subject. It's just not worth it anymore.

Keep in mind that I am not from Toronto (though have many family connections to the city). I have spent much time in Montreal. I have lived in other cities in Canada.

And quelle suprise, I love Toronto. Hey, other forumers from the city fit only for a sun king seem to like the place pretty ok as well.

Well, if I don't like Toronto, I must be drunk right? Therefore: Canada must be full of drunks!

And quelle suprise! Je déteste Toronto, Ontario aussi!

What is it with you people? Grow a skin!

^Not surprised, but you missed the point entirely...

I don't care if you hate Toronto. Your posts are ridiculous. As I alluded to, other forumers from Montreal seem to agree.

And NO, you're not just "responding".

Fuck it. You're driving me to drink!

Easy enough, no 'Beer Store' in Berlin! No 'Beer Store' anywhere, actually, except...

You're just butthurt cause the "ugly, soulless, shithole Toronto" replaced your city years ago as Canada's global city, the centre of jobs, the centre of business, centre of the economy, sports capital of Canada, etc.
And that's not even just me being "centre of the universe Toronto", just stating facts, but don't let facts get in your way.

The majority of the world disagrees with you, the majority of Canada disagrees with you, and the majority of these boards disagrees with you. Just go away for the benefit of everyone who exists. It'll make the world a better and more intelligent place.

And that's all I have to say about that.

28 km of planned and under construction underground rapid transit in Toronto. Great.

What we will need sooner than later is a downtown relief line. This must be built underground, to the east of the Yonge line.
Right off the bat you're looking at 150,000+ riders a day. Things are getting so crazy you gotta leave your haus at 6am just to get standing only room on the train..

Transit ridership in Cobourg was up 24% in 2010 to 104,000. Not bad for a town of 20,000. I wonder what the numbers are for places of a similar size?

Hey with the price of gas set to explode in the near future, transit ridership will take off. We are not prepared for the coming transit ridership increase. The increase in transit ridership in Coburg, is probably happening in towns and cities across the country.

Hey habsfanman, didn't you once say that you're originally from Toronto?

Uh no. We don't produce trash like that. He's from London, On -and looks like it (the bad part anyway). Can you imagine a Torontonian going on and on about Montreal negatively? Can you imagine how quickly they'd be banned from here?

It's obvious he has a personality disorder with a side helping of anger management and obsessive compulsive issues but giving him a forum to express his mental illness isn't helping him or anyone around here. I really don't understand why he isn't banned yet.
