This site doesn’t seem any bigger than the Prada or the Louis Vuitton site on 5th. I wonder if they could build as tall 520 Fifth.

^ There are no height limits. There is a limit on residential FAR, currently 12.

Yes. But I was referring to the FAR limit. Since 520 has a lot of floors on a sliver of land, would it be possible for 50-60 story towers to rise on the Prada and on the LVMH sites on Fifth?

This tower is half residential, half office. We don't know what those other towers are. We also don't know what the underlying zoning is for those other site, meaning the overall mas FAR. 520 Fifth has a 40,000 sf lot. It has 167,000 sf of residential, and 184,000 sf of commercial. (It's also merged with a few other lots).

Interesting. I thought that the office component of this tower was minuscule (ie., less than 100k sf).

The first apartments are on floor 31.

The lot here is combined with other lots as well.

This building is amazing. Hopefully, KPF can design Something of this caliber at Extell’s Fifth Ave site and at 347 Madison.

Predictions of top out? This one is seemingly taking ages to go up.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder what they do with these models when they’re no longer needed. I haven’t figured out a way to heist that scale model of Vanderbilt from the Summit.

Meanwhile, the pic on the bottom left shows lighting at the setbacks.
