Exactly, I hope the location does amazingly well, I just don't like the look. I do however love the way it works in the fabric, along with Mi Cocina, activating a sort of gateway into 12th and Midtown. Hopefully this helps build a critical mass to spur even more activity in that area. Aesthetically, Meh. Urban functionality, Spot on.

Authorization of a grant for the Atlanta Streetcar Extension East & Crosstown-Midtown Streetcar is approved
Does anyone know what this means? What are the routes of these lines?

No other information was provided.

  • Crosstown / Midtown Connection: This leg would build streetcar transit across Midtown, connecting the Atlanta BeltLine’s east and westsides and either the Midtown or North Ave. MARTA Station.
  • Atlanta BeltLine East: This section would also be built on the old rail corridor, alongside the current Eastside Trail. Transit would run from Piedmont Park, through the crosstown connection, and down to meet the Atlanta Streetcar.

For the Falcons Stadium -- what did the payee breakdown end up being? What percentage of the $1,000,000,000 is paid by taxes vs private investment?

And if y'all think Intermezzo's design is too gaudy ... apparently you haven't gone a couple blocks south and seen La Tagliatella. That place is like the restaurant that only the vatican pope could design.

Two years for "studies"??! That is ridiculous, no wonder people have no faith in our government. At most it should take 6 months.

I can understand the frustration, I'm frustrated we can't get these things going more quickly. However, I would imagine a study would need at minimum a year. If you're doing environmental impact studies you'd want to be able to look at the full 4 seasons.

I must say one thing: I'm going to really miss the Georgia Dome. What a magnificent facility. Too young to die!

Highland Park Townhomes (at Highland and the Beltline)

Taken Saturday by me

Great to see people out and about in the neighborhood and Beltline as well.

I'd absolutely literally kill to live in one of those townhomes, especially after the streetcar arrives

That's an excuse. Its bureaucracy trying to justify its existence. There's no need to study what the "4 seasons" entail in Atlanta, we already know that. Our society is going to have to learn to minimize resources, use artificial intelligence in studies, and somehow survive with less self-serving bureaucracy.
