I'm not sure if I fully realized how absurdly low-density that part of Kitsilano is until seeing this photo. Considering the proximity to downtown, that should all be low-rise at the very least. Spectacular view of downtown though.

Yonge and Avenue break through heading north on flat terrain and a sprawling west end without valleys to break up the grid. Super cool perspective.

Nope. I'm just the same. I've tried a lot of escalade in the French Alps in summer to cure my terrible fear of heights. It works. You get used to the terrible fearsome "vide" under your feet. You actually can do it to some extent.

But then, when you get back to hometown Paris, fear of heights soon catches you up again.
You got to climb their cliffs over and over again to get over fear.

Even medieval towers with low garde corps are creepy here. You may easily fall down if you leaned too much.

To my understanding a canyon or gorge has steep edges. Valley is actually also inaccurate as it's defined by hills or mountains. In any case, we actually call these ravines here for the most part, ha. But the area around the Don and Humber rivers are referred to as valleys, wtf... I don't know.

Beautiful day in Vancouver, with Vancouver House rising on the skyline.

No, I don't like seeing them. It's the height of stupidity but I suppose they're at an age where their brains are still growing. They say good judgement is one of the last things to develop in children. I just feel bad for their parents.

These kids do it to show off/get publicity so we're complicit when we post them on these sites. I wish SSP and others would ban them.
