I'm looking forward to finally seeing renders of the two taller Sugar Wharf towers. I hope they don't - and assume they won't - depart too much from the designs of the shorter ones. I like the Twin Towers aesthetic you gave them, koops, but those are just stand-ins, right?

That was the design on the most recent render I saw, but I'm sure there have been changes since then...

I have searched, and didn't find anything but those placeholders. Reaction has been that they're appallingly soulless, but in skyscraper architecture I prefer austerity and symmetry to ostentation and weird angles.

Ya I wouldn't get your hopes up.

Let's hope 1 Yonge stays true to it's renders and we can just look at Sugar Warf as background filler.

Prestige #10 on the list.

Are all 7 of these cranes for Sugar Warf? If so does that mean all 4 towers are currently U/C not just phase 1?

The LCBO building is part of the development. The podium and towers for ph 1. are just that big.

The combined efforts of One Yonge and Sugar Wharf are creating a soulless, overbuilt community. The towers designs aren't horrible.

I'll agree about Sugar Wharf, but I think One Yonge does a pretty good of connecting the city to the waterfront with new indoor and out door spaces. Sugar Wharf feels just like a wall or new barrier.

What they need to do is rebuild Union Station like Shinjuku Station, then Southcore/Sugar Wharf and One Yonge won't feel soulless. So many people going in and out, make the trains Electrified and we will have the beginnings of a brand new commuter and financial services hub right on the lake.

I meant the built form. There will be roughly 150,000 people per square kilometre living here in addition to those visiting (There's still a hotel planned?)and the people employed there. You will see people and alot of them during rush periods.

It will be interesting to see the suburban Loblaws store sandwiched in between all of this new high-rise development.

A working fountain surrounded by lush greenery seems like a pretty bold promise coming from the likes of Pinnacle. Lets hope they follow through this time.

Choice REIT won't let that site sit as it currently is for much longer I imagine.
