I looked at the address on the board and it shows 325 - 10th, which is Graycon Groups address. Seems kinda weird as National is in the next building.

Maybe they're going to build some type of employee patio on that loading dock in the alley.

Has anyone been to Hapa Izakaya on 11th yet? It only gets 60% on urbanspoon but the written reviews seem positive. I have been to a few locations in Vancouver and I have always felt that the food there was really good. I fear that people are just down voting it because it's new.

Too bad it's not on 17th ave.

We went there for some drinks after eating at National on 8th. Staff was extremely friendly including the owner who was there from Van, and drink selection was good. My friends had a couple appy's but I wasn't hungry at that point and both apps had egg which I can't eat, but they mentioned the food was really good too.

BTW rooftop patio at National on 8th is top notch, can't remember if I mentioned that before or not lol.

Ate their tonight, found it delicious and will be returning. It was completely full on a Tues night which is also an encouraging sign.

anyone here a craft beer lover?

i recently spent some time in san diego and took advantage of their massive craft brew scene.

now, i've found some coronado brewing beers here but unfortunately i cannot find stone or ballast point, which were truly amazing.

anyone with more craft experience know where i might find either of those, if anywhere?

My go to place for craft beers is Zyn liquor store in Inglewood. If you can't find a craft beer there then I'm not sure where else to suggest.

Indeed. Unfortunately they don't have those particular beers at the moment. I was stopping there on my way home so I looked - they have two Coronado beers but neither of the ones mentioned. If you ask them they can probably order it.

Check out Oak & Vine (16th & 10th N), I hear they have a pretty extensive craft beer selection (never actually been inside though).

At times liquor connect is good, but I have been finding lately that the data is not up to date. My wife wanted some Twisted Teas and I went on liquorconnect and it showed only three places in Calgary that sold it.....I ended up going halfway across town to buy....only to find out later that it's sold pretty much everywhere.

I used to really follow the ratings on Urban Spoon, but lately have been finding the results aren't a true representation. Oddly enough, you'll see a place that has a low rating, but many good reviews

and vice versa.

Anyone here ever bought a growler from Village Brewery and had it refilled? I grabbed one at Co-op on the weekend, and am wondering if it's worth (or possible) to refill.
