Yeah I posted a GIF of the led testing last November that showed the dynamic patterns it can make on the previous page.

Here's the video from the first test a while ago...

It looks fantastic and it is definitely better than the light displays on any building in Toronto including the CN Tower.
The problem with buildings in Toronto is that their light displays are very anemic and reside only at the very tops of buildings.
This building and the ones in Dubai in the picture below is how it should be done

I haven't seen it on a skyscraper elsewhere in Canada either. My understanding of game changer is that it spearheads more of these visual effect installations. I don't really want that. The novelty of images and dancing lights wore off quickly after seeing it for the first time.

To me, the static image with all the lights on looks far cooler than any of the animated gifs too.

I don't know what your point is. I think everyone hear understand OBE's architectural statement is through It's balconies. Suggesting there's nothing left once you strip them away is stupid and not because it's blatantly wrong. That's like removing a limb.

It also suggests engineered complex forms are inherently better than simple ones. I disagree.A simple extruded form can be as thrilling or even better than Telus Sky. I guess it lends to Canada where I find a severe lack of creativity in building envelopes design and materials.

That looks incredible. Calgary truly got a stunning piece of architecture with Telus. Wow.

I hope we can get a nice tower like that in Toronto. Right now we are getting nothing but boxes.

Toronto will probably get a BiG designed skyscraper soon, he's knocked it out of the park in Calgary and Vancouver!

Well, not so much probably...

(shame ours isn't as nice as Vancouver's or Calgary's. BIG has long since jumped the shark though)

Oh sweet, which one is that? I'd only seen the BiG King project before.

Union Centre by Allied. Old design was very conceptual but I think it looked much better.

That's Union Centre - a decent but not a particularly exciting office project: http://urbantoronto.ca/database/projects/union-centre

Lol. Yeah, I don't care who the designer is. Bad is bad. Good is good. This is bad.

Is it just a box with trees on top?

Thanks for sharing this, not completely awful, there are some things that break up the facade, the elevators sound interesting. This building is massive though, going to be close to the size of the Bow!

It's a clunky box with trees on top. Even the designer is attempting to convince himself while selling it in the latest press release lol

Telus Sky was always going to be a beautiful building I could tell right away when I saw the renders. It's turned out exactly how I imagined it would. The lights only add to the stunning design in my opinion. Overall a stunning addition for Calgary, I give the building a solid 9.5/10.
