I actually appreciate that aesthetic, as it makes Austin appear as if it was historically slightly larger.

I just wish more developers would save more of the existing legacy structures in ways like this, whether they qualify as historic or not.

Was wondering the same thing. Maybe they’ll have a deck on top and used for extra staging space like they do in some dense cities. They look temporary for sure.

I feel like this one is a dark horse… (which is crazy to say considering it’s 675 FT). It’s definitely not the sexiest thing being built right now, but it’s height and proximity to 6th & Guad will make it a major piece of this new dense, tall “core” of downtown.

Oh for sure. This will surprise a lot of folks. I can't wait for this to finish, giving it a twin tower feel. If only we could have twin towers somewhere in the city.

Block 32 if it ever gets built is pretty close to a twin tower setup. One is a bit shorter than the other but the design is cohesive.

Now we just need the Modern and the Travis to round out the top 10 built/UC

Thank you, I always appreciate your compliments. It's nowhere near as difficult as what you do with paper - you've got amazing talent in both paper crafting and video editing.

I was thinking about doing The Modern next or trying to fill in some of the completed towers that are still missing. My job/family/extra-curricular activities don't allow me much extra time to draw diagrams, so I try to pick buildings that are fun/challenging to create. This one, for example, was fun to draw because the building itself is not the most aesthetically pleasing, so the challenge was in finding a flattering angle in which to draw it.

Thank you! It's really not all that different, you just have the added work of measuring and drawing every side. I'd say 70% of the time it takes to create a file is just drawing the facade (basically drawing a diagram).

I know the feeling, I haven't been reaching my goal of a new block every week. And I thought that was a generous time period.
Personally, I like this one. Its got big city filler vibes, haha.

The diagram for this one is giving me more hope than the renders did. Better proportions between the tower and podium.

321 West reminds me of the buildings I saw in NYC.
