But - were only halfway there, lets see what its like with full finished form and lighting, street level, etc.
i think it'll look better once all the steel is behind glass and all of the other stuff is gone. steel buildings look like a mess when being built.

Looks like someone will have a very nice double height lobby (unless it's an amenity space)
- that may, unfortunately, angle towards the side of the future building next door.
Why would they face it into the block rather than towards Library Square?

Double height area is the location of the chiller. Façade will be screen panels.

Another look at the Richards Street view from today.

As I was looking this guy casually walks across that beam and crouches down to do something. I know he's tethered but... balls of steel!

As usual in this later stage, visible (exterior) progress is slowing.

By me today.

A couple of big scaffolds on the cubes.

On the back, too.

Excellent update. The glass looks to be of high quality.

It's just a stunning building. One of those "how did we ever get that?" buildings that add so much to the architectural highlights of a city. Vancouver House is unquestionably another one.

Ultimately, I think it is just half of a memorable building, specifically the bottom half, thanks to you know what. It is the latest victim of a common modern Vancouver disorder: unnatural arrested development. In another city, or in an earlier, bolder age of Vancouver, this building could have achieved its real potential.
