Really? That is super cool. That's one of my favourite towers in Edmonton.

I like to think it's your middle finger. That re-clad makes me sad as well, almost as sad it's smaller neighbor on it's east side. I understand they probably needed re-cladding but they could have just kept the same look.

Good question, it looks so much better as well breaking up the look of that building. Is it larger then FCP I wonder?

In terms of square footage, Terrasses is 1.53 million vs First Canadian's 2.7 million, but that doesn't tell us anything about the building envelope; Terrasses' design is much more dynamic than First Canadian. And if those numbers are "rentable" space, we have to take into account the addition stairs and elevators in Terrasses.

Ya I was trying to count it as three small towers and it has more then 72 floors in total so it probably is a larger re-clad then FCP.

Looking good, I was never a fan of the orange-ish cladding.

My father worked there for years.

I always loved those buildings and will miss the brown.

Wow, that is going to be quite the rehab for Terrasses de la Chaudiere. Definitely a huge improvement visually.

I'm looking forward to more of these kinds of reclads, I know the MacDonald Block in Toronto is getting redone too. Hopefully we hear something about that project soon.

The random clear glass block arrangements trend needs to die. Other than that, I have no input from one night time rendering.

Here are a few day time renderings. Can't seem to find an overall view like the night shot.

Clear glass corners are for these double height spaces.

Thanks for the additional renderings. I like it except for the random blocks of curtain glass.

FCP had only the exterior panels replaced. The curtain wall system is still the original. This looks more along the lines of 480 University; complete replacement of the exterior cladding.

Les Terrasses are one of the most prominent elements of the skyline, it will look a lot different.

No more bricks falling on people

It's entirely regular-sized brown brick. One hell of a lot of bricks.
