Realistically, the Weston has a good 70-80 feet on this building to that mechanical box on the top of 300 Main, even more to the roof level. Every time I measure the Weston Centre on Google Earth I get 455-460 ft to the top. The angle here doesn't help either.

Wouldn't have been mad if this one was taller, but hopefully it does well and it ends up being a catalyst. I'm just happy to see some height on those empty lots. I'd like to see the lots between Weston and the BOA tower go lol. That gap is huge. Travis Park area too.

The amount of parking lots and severely underutilized in the area bounded by Travis, Camaron, Alamo, Lexington/4th, & Kindred Hospital is almost criminal. You could have a insanely dense skyscraper cluster.

The glass on this is starting to give me W Austin vibes, at least from the webcam. I dig it, always thought DTSA could use some dark glass to contrast the beige (and now bright blue glass of the Frost Tower)

I went for a bike ride in San Antonio on July 15 and took these photos of 300 Main.

Man this thing makes a huge difference from every angle, but especially from the TOA. Once Hemisfair doesn't look so crusty, a Wiki photo update is due. They gotta stop using pictures from 2004 lol.

^^ Nice, Kevin! I'm going to quote the bottom two photos to the TOA view thread.

Thanks, Raul.

According to the plans, the pool goes above the top left floor of the garage. It seems like you'd see it from that angle. What's the deal?

It is a platform built on top of the slab and is pulled away from the parapets. It's probably not very deep.

A taste of Austin in downtown San Antone'! I love this building. It looks pretty fearsome in the rain, the dark colors are a much needed contrast to the beige and browns of Weston Center/the Milam and the passive blues of Frost Tower. Hopefully this trend of colorful buildings continue for the skyscraper district!

I think its more of a "taste of what's to come" in SA rather than anything in Austin. lol (Hate comparisons to Austin) Good looking building, finally adds some mass to what appears to be a burgeoning financial and tech district in downtown SA.

It's residential. I would assume there's no exterior lighting.

And welcome to the forum.

The crane is coming down. This was one of the fastest construction projects I've ever witnessed (literally only a year from the assembly of the crane to topping out!).

Yeah it's crazy how smooth everything has gone. Kudos to all involved. This project has turned out great so far.
