I noticed the same thing. And then when I came back from Bee Cave to Austin on 2244 around 5:00 this evening, the hilltops were in the clouds. It was an awesome sight. Some of the homes that are located high on the hills were not visible.

Great news. Lake Travis bottomed out at 630.05 feet friday. It rose a half foot saturday. With the ground now saturated in places the runoff will go into the lake system. Lake Travis is on the rise!

Yes, I also wonder if anyone took pics. It's like an airplane in the clouds for the views in the clouds.

The clouds are looking awesome right now off to the north. If anyone happens to be out, it would make for some cool skyline photos. The clouds were blue and the skyline just about glowed in front of them.

We're on the 23rd floor, but I don't know how high above the ground or above sea level that is. Maybe some of you skyscraper experts know!

I wonder how many people have noticed this: if you look at the all-glass corners of Spring (the NW and SE corners), there's a horizontal silver border above and below each row of windows. There's a floor about halfway up where the horizontal silver border at the bottom of the window is slightly wider top-to-bottom; that's the 23rd floor. The units on that floor have ceilings that are about 7 inches higher than in the other floors.

Great pix. everybody! New to the Forum, not to Austin! Any pix. of the development around 38th street. i think it is called the East Avenue Project?? Concordia University is my alma mater. i used to attend at the 23 acre site before they moved to their expansive new campus northwest of DT.
Thanks.

I noticed that driving home on Mopac from a party on Saturday night. Wow, what an incredible sight... The upper floors of the Austonian were indeed obscured by the low cloud deck. And Frost crown's glow off the clouds was indescribably cool. I thought about pulling over and grabbing some shots but I was beyond tired by that point. Now I regret it

Well I was out, but the sun kept darting in and out of the clouds. Here's the photos I took, though.

Sweet! I really like that last one. The buildings look amazing! Do you have a full sized image of that? I'd love it as a desktop!

WOW, LoneStar! Without a doubt that is your best photo set to date. Just incredible. My jaw dropped with that last shot... stunning. Also loved the Zilker soccer field shots, with the new sod and all... The skyline looks incredible. New camera?

I recently moved to Austin and I'm loving it here. You all do such a great job of capturing this city on film. LoneStar, I particuarly like this newest set of pictures--thanks for sharing!

Thanks everyone!

Kevin, I sent you a PM.

Mopacs - no not a new camera. I'm still using my Nikon D40.

I'm just so excited about this weather we've had lately. It's cool and even though we haven't had enough rain to end the drought, it was enough to turn everything green.

I've been trying to make up for all the times I didn't go out this summer.

Here's some more from yesterday. I rode the 331 bus to I-35 & Oltorf, then walked down I-35 to Riverside and stopped on the I-35 Bridge, the dog park and Joe's Crab Shack.
