Not sure if this is supposed to be public as usually this is paid imagery, found it through the CoW parcel map page, it also has imagery of other cities/towns.
Thanks for the new toy!

It's nice that it updates its images more often than Google Earth.

ArcGIS updates more frequently with images. I think Bing maps using the ARCGIS engine.

They all draw images from the same sources. Including the Cities lidar flights. I think the angled views would be from the Cities Lidar flights.

how on earth do they get insurance
They could self insure, as far as I know there is no legal requirement to have an insurance company write a policy for a building other than to make a mortgage holder happy.

Interesting. I Googled Sheldon Blank and he is probably one of the most accomplished self-represented litigants in Canadian legal history.

So did that incident with the sewer collapse kill the business? The only thing I remember about Gateway Industries was riding the train in the 80s and 90s and having those little hotel-style bars of VIA soap in the sleeping cars marked with "Gateway Industries" on the back.

They had at least 2 more large fires in other buildings in the complex in 2011 and 2014 in production area's that as far as I know have not been replaced.

Mr Blank is as far as I am aware the only non lawyer to appear before the Supreme Court of Canada to argue a case (and win)

Gateway Industries

There is a 24" sewer that runs from Archibald across the river and down a road allowance that goes through the property and makes it's way to the North End treatment plant. It was installed in 2004. I wonder if this replaced what had collapsed? River crossings are crazy expensive.

Also the watermain in the area is relatively new. The oldest being from 1984. I bet soil remediation is what is holding the site back. And also the neighbourhood keeping land value down.

Actually the river crossing cost $1.6m. I was wrong, not very expensive.

City Assessment show that road allowance as being owned by Gateway (I assume). Part of 2 Point Douglas Avenue. 1 Point Douglas Ave is the 3 tin shed looking buildings.

I see now on the plans it says it's an easement and not an allowance.
