Nice shots. I would love to see the view from the top floor of Palisades West,

I walked yesterday along the south shore of Lady Bird Lake from Lamar to the Austin American-Statesman and back. I'm loving this cooler weather.

9/10

This dock between the SRV Stature and the South First St. Bridge must be fairly new.

ummm.... here are some renderings i found for the new proposed hotel on 5th and colorado.

http://austintowers.net/Austin_Downtown/files/Starwood_hotel_one_austin_announced.html

edit:
although i have to say, the inside with the green couches and trees and bushes on the background seems kinda weird to me. kinda reminds me of an article i saw on the Onion of a "green-friendly" house with walls made out of grass on the inside.... it was really silly.

Those renderings are for their Washington DC proposal.

The parking garage is supposed to start construction in late 2009. That is step one to getting an 800 foot tower, so lets cross our fingers!

I called their attorneys for copies of renderings and they said they would only be released at the next Design Commission.

About T. Stacy, yea, the parking garage is set to late 2009, 800-footer I think is going to start in 2010 or 2011 or nowhere.

W Crane

They delivered some yellow crane parts late this afternoon so it looks like the shorter crane is about to get a lift!

The rendering of the austonian with the height posted here is not correct in shape. That shows a curve of the crown. I dont see that in the construction.

Earlier this week, local developer Tom Stacy, who plans an ambitious mixed-use project on Congress between Fifth and Sixth streets, told a group of real estate professionals that his project, “knock on wood” would “someday get off the ground when the capital markets recover.”

Stacy said some gas and water lines are being relocated at his site from an alley onto Fifth Street, a $3 million project, to pave the way for the proposed development. He said he is “still excited about the project,” but added that he doesn’t expect it to “come out of the ground anytime soon.”

My wife and I closed on our condo in Spring last week, and I just wanted to thank the photographers on the skyscraper forum (including but not limited to Priller, KevinFromTexas, Mopacs, and LoneStarMike) who have been posting photos showing my building over the past year. We signed the contract in July 2008, but we don't live full time in Austin, so the skyscraper forum was our only way of keeping tabs on the progress of construction during the past year. Thanks, again, guys. Great photography!

Congrats! I love Spring's location. Should be even more awesome when the new extension to the Pfluger bridge happens. I'm looking forward to this years downtown tour of homes to check Spring out! Last year's tour was awesome, but Spring was still early on in construction.

So, did anyone catch any skyline pics with the clouds today? It looked to me that the tops of Austonian and 360 were obscured by clouds today. Must have been a neat view from up there.

How cool! I'm looking forward to all the photos you will be taking (and posting here on this board ) of your new condo's views.
