Anyone here went to see the
LocalFest on Canada st on Saturday?

It was kinda interesting, bands on the Ian Fowler stage, beer garden next to the Ian oval, a line up of food trucks, a good amount of local vendors under the tents on each side of Canada st., a real live camel, and all sorts of other stuff. The crowd was pretty good during the time I was there.
The atmosphere was amazing, a small passing freight train blowing the horn, then moments later the Via Passenger train arrived, lots of traffic on Main, and, I saw for the very first time, a passing Codiac bus jam packed of passengers.
This was a great event IMO to bring the people outside, downtown and see the sights. I hope this will be an annual event. With phase 2 of Junction Village apartments almost complete, the 3 Sisters apartments, and 3-4 new apartments on nearby side streets can only make this better next year.
