I am impatiently tapping my feet waiting for Sugar Wharf Phase 2 and One Yonge Phase 3 to begin. That quarter will be extraordinarily dense. I would not want to live there, but the busyness will appeal to some.

I don't know if either S.W. 2 or O.Y. 3 have been through sales yet. I think not. Anyone know?

I abide by that any proposed tower is just one of a thousand proposed towers until a construction permit become public. It could be six months or more between one of us discovering the permit online and ground being broken.

Would be interesting to see how well the trees survive in that setting. A lot of trees survive in colder climates by sending the fluids down into the root system during winter to prevent freezing since the temps down into the soil are more stable than the air. But the trees whose roots are up on a highrise wouldn't have that option so I guess either they'd need slightly heated soil or perhaps rely on the heat radiating from the building and the winder urban heat island effect to keep the temps from dropping too low. Oh well I'm sure they thought of all this so not point in me worrying about the details.

Their nearby Whitfield still has plenty of units available. I'd guess their unsold stock in downtown is above a desired threshold.

Suburban condos are still selling fairly quickly, mostly because they're quite a bit cheaper.

I think this was done by Eric from SSP. It is missing a few things, notably Gladstone Village and a few buildings on the Hull side of the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge.

We're getting there. Turning point was about 10 years ago when Claridge Icon was approved at 45 floors. The traditional downtown is likely to remain table top (with minor strides with the M+M Relevé project and Marriott Renaissance), but we are seeing some projects along the northern three Line 2 stations, Centretown, Lansdowne, LeBreton Flats with towers above the 300 foot mark we've been largely stuck with since the late 1960s.

Koops, did you know the city of Toronto has downloadable CAD files for every neighbourhood in the city, from large structures down to lane way garages.

My computer was not happy trying to open it, but I plan on optimizing what they have to run smoother.

You can just click on an area and download the file.
