I thought this was really interesting, when they turned the lights on a few nights ago thousands of migrating birds became attracted to the lights and were trapped. They had to turn the lights off five times that night in order to let the birds go on their way to warmer climates.

^ Yeah, that's the reason a lot of skyscrapers in New York dim the lights this time of year.

You could see the birds all the way from Brooklyn! It looked liked bugs swarming a light bulb

jst checked cam thats another access hole to below ground been coverd up , so how are they going to get all the artifacts down there ? ino there is going to be a hatch left but i dont think it is big enuff to fit a fire engine down

The two vents that just went up near West St will also have freight elevators that will be used to move objects. Once that's operational, the cranes now over the memorial will be removed.

There is a permanent access hatch on the west side big enough to drop an M1 Abrams tank through.
