I think the average is 1 floor every 5 days.

Great pics Design-mind!

Yep, suddenly soaring. With another dozen or so floors, and loosing the doo-rag and braces--- she's a killer.

This could easily be topped out by the end of October, and that's assuming they move at a rate of one floor per week - in practice they move at one floor every 5 to 6 days.

Looking at these photos make 432 Park almost surreal for me. I know more taller towers are going to continue popping up in Midtown, but no building here ever got that high and now it's happening.

Just signed up. I actually joined to see and follow all the developments in New York City. The City, it never ceases to amaze me. That skyline, inspiring everytime you look at it. And the best thing is, it grows and grows and grows! I'm so happy that NYC is getting so many supertalls in a decade!!! NYC is booming and it is just what the capital of the world needs.

Thanks for joining. You will like SSP as it has an extensive NYC section. Also, be sure to visit the diagrams section. Also, see the links in my signature. Two of them are great for NYC developments on a day to day basis.

Yeah this is basically dominating Midtown entering from every side now.

Has this also officially surpassed ESB's pinnacle?

Gentlemen,

Here is where we are as of today. Although the exterior forms have been raised to the next level when the last floor slab was poured (July 22), with columns and spandrel beam pours taken place today, the actual floor we are at is floor 70 (apparent floor 75). I do not count the as-of-yet poured floor, even if the exterior forms have been raised, as often the forms are raised even as the floor slab is being poured. Five floor slabs have been poured so far this month, with the possibility that another floor may be poured tomorrow (Saturday), and perhaps maybe breaking the record for floors poured for any month if seven floors are poured by the thirty-first of this month. The months of April, May, and June saw 6 floor slabs poured each month.

Here are two drawings I have done, representing our current status:

The building section drawing above compares the current status on the right to the top portion of the completed building, with the slab pour dates for this month shown on the left drawing. Note however on the drawing that the the exterior form has been raised, with the notation to the right of the building under construction indicating Next floor to be formed..The figures to the right of the building under construction drawing are the elevations that the city views are shown on the 432 Park Avenue website. The 1250' seen to the right of the complete building represents the roof height of the ESB. On the building section drawing, the numbers within the building on the left are the actual floors, while the numbers on the right within the building are the apparent floors.

The drawing above shows just the top portion of the complete building, with the slab to slab height dimensions shown to the right, and the remaining dimension left to top out on the right. Please note, that there are 12 floors in between the mechanical floors. On the actual building, note the projecting netting on the building faces. The window opening just below the netting, and the one just above, are the two open (drum) mechanical floors (on this drawing, actual floors 58 and 59 and 72 and 73). Going by the dates of pours (I have the floor pour dates going back to 11/29/12), we are at the 70th actual floor (75 apparent floors).

I was just zooming in on 432 PA and comparing it against One57 a couple times. Suddenly my sight caught hold of this giant One WTC standing like a faint shadow of a huge ghost.
One WTC subtly ruled the whole frame.
